1. Check availability
Look for accidental blocks, restrictive minimum stays and incorrect arrival settings. Make sure owner dates and existing reservations are represented accurately across channels.
2. Review the first photograph
Choose a current, clear image of the actual property. Show the main selling point without misleading perspective, added views or amenities that are not available.
3. Answer the booking questions
Make the bed layout, guest capacity, location, check-in arrangements and costs easy to understand. Match the description to the inventory and current condition.
4. Review the total guest price
Compare the total price for a relevant stay, including mandatory charges. A competitive nightly rate can become less attractive after additional fees.
5. Follow up on recurring issues
Review questions and feedback with the operating team. Fix access problems, cleaning inconsistencies or missing information before promising more. For the wider approach, see income and occupancy optimisation.
