Review the existing agreement
Check notice requirements, termination charges, unsettled costs and the treatment of furniture and other supplied items. Confirm the process in writing with the relevant parties. Seek advice on disputed or unclear terms; this checklist does not determine your legal rights.
Reconcile bookings and money
List upcoming stays, guest payments, refunds, deposits, channel deductions and unpaid invoices. Agree who services each booking and who communicates with guests. Do not cancel or transfer reservations without checking the relevant contractual and platform requirements.
Record the property handover
Complete a condition inspection and inventory with photographs. Record keys, access cards, appliance information, warranties, utilities and outstanding repairs. Identify ownership of furniture or equipment supplied by an operator.
Check listings and approvals
Agree what can be handed over: photographs, content, booking records and account access depend on ownership, privacy obligations and platform rules. Ask DET about the current process applicable to your unit when the responsible operator changes. Use the official permit service as a starting point.
Set a realistic transition calendar
Keep a clear boundary between existing reservations, any maintenance period and new bookable dates. Confirm guest readiness, correct prices, access arrangements and the operating contact before launch. Avoid overlapping bookable calendars.
Prepare the new proposal
Share relevant property information with Purple, along with the intended transition date and current commitments. Review the fee structure, owner reporting and the onboarding route before agreeing a handover.
